The Young Expert, scenario:
Joe got a fair amount of crypto but he is not happy, there is not the opportunity for investments he is looking for on his current wallet. This morning he read on Twitter that RioDefi is launching a new feature, Defipool. He downloads the app on the apple store and creates a new wallet. He decides to deposit a few coins on it and start to invest half in staking and a quarter in Defi pool. A few days later he compares the perfomance of his asset between the different wallets and discovers that Defi pool is much more interesting thanks to the currency choice he made his gains are more profitable and stable.

The Rookie, scenario:
Rose doesn’t know much about cryptocurrency but she wants to try it and start to build her investment portfolio. Her friend Emilie heard about decentralized finance and suggest her to have a look at it. She decide to try RioDefi Wallet as her friend suggested. She goes on the website, downloads the app and buys $50 dollars of Rfuel. She invests immediately half of it in the pool after reading the quick tutorial. She decided to get USDT because this is the most stable product. She slowly grows her capital and reinvests a part of it in other currency to increase her gain.

The Overseas, scenario:
Gemma is living in Hong Kong for 2 years and wants to transfer her saving back to Canada to build her saving fund. Transferring cash is pricy and she doesn’t have access to the best saving plans because she doesn’t have enough, she is looking for a better solution. On LinkedIn she discover an article about RioDefi decentralized platform. She downloads it and buys a few Rfuel. She read the quick tutorial and decide to pool her coin. She sees her saving growing and decides to buy more coins that she stakes to diversify her gain.

The Veteran, scenario:
John got a lot of BTC and ETH, but the current wallet he is using does not permit him to diversify his asset enough. Moreover, he tried to use some new features but doesn’t get how it works, it seems too complicated. John discovers during a tech show RioWallet, it seems so simple, he wants to try it. John downloads the app and Transfers a part of his coins into it. He tests the different features and pools a few of his BTC with the interest into USDT. John is happy he is making a fair profit and it just took him 5 minutes to understand how.

The genesis

When I started to work for RioDeFi, a first mission the CEO asked me and the design team to redesign their crypto wallet. The requirements were to make a minimum of modifications based on a white-label app, to launch it as fast as possible. We have worked on many improvements based on market studies and user tests.

Role

I was in charge of the product and design of this project supported by a great team of designers and developers.

Designed in 2021.

I have chosen to present the process of account creation. It is the most difficult challenge for our users as well as for our designer. Due to technical limitations required lots of choice.
